Well, there’s a fast rev and powerful five engine options under the hood, from 252 hp to 440 hp, which give the 2018 Porsche Macan a lot of performance. It is combined with an all-wheel-drive system, a quick-shifting seven-speed transmission and a calibrated suspension for more winding mountain roads.

The 2018 Porsche Macan is a five-passenger compact luxury SUV offered in five trim levels with five different engines: base, S, GTS, Turbo and Turbo with Performance Package.
Standard equipment for the base model includes 18-inch wheels, xenon headlights, automatic wipers, a power liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, rear privacy glass, a cargo cover, three-zone automatic climate control, a lane departure warning system, power front seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, partial leather and simulated suede upholstery, a rearview camera, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, Porsche Communication Management 7-inch touchscreen interface, a 10-speaker sound system with a CD player, two USB ports, HD and satellite radios.
The 2018 Porsche Macan S adds different exterior trim types, more powerful brakes, 19-inch wheels and dual twin-pipe exhaust ports.
The 2018 Porsche Macan GTS adds unique exterior design elements, 20-inch wheels, a sport exhaust, a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension, adaptive headlights, unique heated sport seats and front-seat memory functions.
The 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo gets adaptive suspension dampers, unique 19-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, upgraded front sport seats, a simulated suede headliner, full leather upholstery, a navigation system and a 14-speaker Bose surround-sound audio system. The Macan Turbo with Performance Package adds adaptive air suspension that features a lower ride height.
There are two optional packages for the 2018 Porsche Macan. The Premium package adds adaptive headlights, heated front and rear seats, auto-dimming mirrors and the 14-speaker Bose system. The Premium Package Plus adds keyless ignition and entry, a panoramic sunroof, and 14-way power front seats with memory functions and ventilation.
Other options include carbon-ceramic disc brakes, wheels from 18 to 21 inches, a sport exhaust, adaptive air suspension, an adaptive suspension (PASM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, LED headlights, surround-view parking cameras, adaptive cruise control, lane departure intervention, roof rails, noise-reducing privacy glass. Every 2018 Porsche Macan comes standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission known as PDK and all-wheel drive. Automatic stop-start features are also standard.
The base 2018 Porsche Macan is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Porsche estimates that it will go from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, which is the quickest in the segment for a base engine. EPA estimates fuel economy at 22 mpg combined (20 city/25 highway), an average number for the segment.
The 2018 Porsche Macan S gets a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine produces 340 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque. At the test track, it hit 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. EPA estimated fuel economy stands at 19 mpg combined (17 city/23 highway).
The Macan GTS a more powerful version of the S engine, it produces 360 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Porsche says 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds or 4.8 with optional Launch Control. Fuel economy figures are same as the S.
The 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo has a 3.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. In performance testing, it hit 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds; nothing in the segment comes remotely close to that and those numbers put it on par with some seriously quick sports cars. EPA-estimated fuel economy stands at 19 mpg combined (17 city/23 highway).
The Macan Turbo with Performance package increases power to 440 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. Porsche estimates it will reach 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Properly equipped, the Macan can tow up to 4,409 pounds.
The 2018 Porsche Macan has a very nice cabin, with quality materials that have an upscale look and feel. The dashboard layout clearly reflects the modern Porsche design, with a flat dashboard, three dial for instruments and a center console that looks like the Learjet. With a logical layout, it did not take long time to adjust to the 2018 Porsche Macan cockpit. The new PCM touchscreen interface is an enhancement of its predecessor, with sharp graphics, quick responses and a more user-friendly menu.
The cockpit layout provides a good seating position for the spirit driving, and the steering wheel is inspired by the 918 Spyder sports car. As we expect from Porsche, the seats on the base model are excellent and comfortable for long-distance travel as well as reassuring side-to-side support for more spirited drive.
Unfortunately, there is something to be sacrificed for this sporty style, because the 2018 Porsche Macan are one of the impractical compact SUVs. Although the rear seats are not much better than rivals, the cargo area is small. With the rear seats used, the cargo capacity is only 17.7 cubic feet, folding them and there are 53.0 cubic feet. It’s more than Range Rover Evoque and away from rivals like the Jaguar F-Pace and BMW X3.
