The 2018 Audi A4 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive Quattro available as optional. A seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission comes as standard. A six-speed manual transmission is also available but only on all-wheel-drive models. Audi claim, the 2018 A4 will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. EPA fuel economy rated at 24 mpg city/34 mpg highway for AWD automatic, and 24 mpg city/33 mpg highway for manual AWD.
The 2018 Audi A4 Ultra is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine good for 190 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. It also uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and offered only with front-wheel drive. For performance, A4 Ultra hit 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. EPA fuel economy stands at 27 mpg city/37 mpg highway.
The 2018 Audi A4 offers a well-built, stylish, functional cabin and emphasis on technology. A simple Audi’s elegant design translates well into an easy-to-use cockpit with logically placed controls. The optional Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster attracts most attention, creates an analog gauge while displaying entertainment and navigation information.
Audi continues to set new standards for cabin construction and quality materials. The Mercedes C-Class may look more luxurious, but a closer look at the better built A4 cabin is an advantage. Go inside and you’ll feel you’re in a mid-sized sedan, with enough leg room for four large adults. Even a 6-footer will find enough headroom in the back seat.
Thanks to the narrow roof pillars, coupled with a standard rearview camera and collision warning system, the A4 has good visibility all around. For cargo and storage, the 2018 Audi A4 is typical for the class. There is plenty of storage space for your personal belongings. Also an additional consideration is the 40/20 / 40-split folding rear seat that allows more flexibility when transporting passengers and larger objects. Cargo capacity is about average for the class at 13 cubic feet.
