2018 Audi A5 Review, Specs, Price, Release Date
The previous generation Audi A5 is one of the most popular two-door vehicles. The sleek styling and classy interior helps to distinguish it from its rivals. But it’s getting a little older in the last few years, which is why we’re delighted to see the redesigned Audi A5.
For 2018, the convertible and coupe models are back, along with the new model Sportback hatchback. The four-door A5 might seem a little weird if you’re used to two doors only. But like the larger A7 hatchback, the new A5 Sportback offers increased cargo space flexibility. Other important updates include the more powerful four-cylinder engine and the latest Audi safety and features.

The 2018 Audi A5 is powered by an updated turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which now produces 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Audi quattro all-wheel drive is standard and paired to seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. A six-speed manual transmission are available but only on the coupe models. In performance testing, an Audi A5 coupe with manual transmission runs from zero to 60 mph in 5.7 second.
As usual, the 2018 Audi A5 gets high marks for elegant, modern and simple interiors. The quality of the material is very good for the class, and the vehicle controls are just what you want as the driver. Unfortunately, the back seat is rather small and is best suited for smaller passengers.
The 2018 Audi A5 front seats are sturdy and well-shaped to drive comfortably for hours. The cabin is quiet and isolating as found in A4 and S5, and the available adaptive suspension smooths the drive further. Behind the second seat, A5 provides 11.6 cubic feet of cargo space, not the largest in its class, but should be enough for a coupe or convertible vehicle, and a flat load floor and handy hooks add more value. Interior storage is just enough to keep your personal belongings.
